Meghalaya Govt. to tie up with Israel in Agri sector

The Government of Meghalaya, on Monday, announced its decision to partner with Israel for establishing a Centre of Excellence (CoE) on high-value vegetables to improve and promote the livelihood of farmers in the state.

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma and the Ambassador of Israel, Dr Ron Malka, will also hold a press conference at noon on Tuesday at Hotel Pinewood, Shillong.

We may note that the Assam government, on Monday, established ties with Israel for cooperation in the agriculture sector.

Malka also held discussions with Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal with the primary focus being on agriculture.
