Meghalaya: First vaccination drive carried out at Nazareth Hospital

The first COVID-19 vaccination drive in the private sector was carried out at Nazareth Hospital, Shillong in close collaboration with the Health Department, Government of Meghalaya on January 19.

The programme was inaugurated by the Administrator, Sr. Noreen and the Chief Medical Officer, Dr Gordon Rangad.

Ninety-two persons received the vaccine.

The purely voluntary vaccination campaign will continue until all enrolled persons receive the first dose.

Nazareth Hospital has so far treated over 250 COVID patients and carried out more than 7000 SARS-CoV-2 tests for various patients.
