Meghalaya: Fire erupts at Shani Market

SHILLONG:

A massive fire erupted at a spare parts shop behind Shani Market in the city on Thursday.

Police received the first call around midnight and immediately rushed to the spot.

According to the SP of the Fire and Emergency Service, Aditya Goenka, "The firefighters started the process of putting out the fire from 12 midnight till 6:30 am."

Authorities believe the fire was a result of a short circuit.
