Meghalaya Congress releases second list of candidates for GHADC polls

The Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) on Wednesday released the second list of the remaining twelve candidates for the forthcoming election to the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC).

The names of the candidates include James Sangma (7-Babelapara), Stevie M. Marak (11-Boldamgre), Jagadish CH Hajong (13-Zikzak), Sanjay Koch (14-Betasing), Malcolm M. Sangma (15-Rochonpara), Agassi R. Marak (17-Balachanda), Ashahel D.Shira (18-Batabari), Habibuz Zaman (19-Shyamnagar), Joyson R. Marak (20-Raksamgre), Levastone T. Sangma (22-Jengjal), Manseng Momin (24-Bolsong) and Lahitson M. Sangma (27-Samandagre).

The Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Election Committee (MPCEC) had, on February 10, approved the first list of 17 candidates for the GHADC polls.

The election to the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) is scheduled to be held on April 9, 2021.
