Meghalaya CM to tour Delhi, to meet Amit Shah to discuss state politics, implementation of ILP

SHILLONG: Meghalaya Chief Minister, Conrad K. Sangma today informed that a delegation of the Cabinet Ministers and MLAs would leave for Delhi on Sunday to meet Union Home Minister, Amit Shah to discuss on the demand of implementation of ILP in the State.

“I am going to Delhi because there are lots of issues concerning 12 to 15 ministries relating to PWD, agriculture and law and order,” Sangma told reporters here today.

He said that one of the agenda will be to pursue on the demand for implementation of the Inner Line Permit in the State.

According to Sangma, the delegation of the government will be comprise Ministers and MLAs and said that the NGOs would go separately depending on the confirmation of the appointment by the Union Home Ministry.

“We are also waiting for the final confirmation of the meeting with the Union Home Minister. We will be in Delhi for about four days,” Chief Minister added.
