Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma, on Wednesday, met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman seeking support relating to various issues in the state.
In a social media post, Sangma said he had discussed various issues relating to the share of central taxes, including the relaxation of the strict timelines for implementation of reforms and allowing 1 per cent borrowing in a flexible manner.
He also apprised the minister of the Externally Aided Projects (EAPs) including projects by the World Bank for strengthening the health system and NDB projects for tourism infra development in Meghalaya.
Meanwhile, Sitharaman assured Sangma that she would give approvals for the last quarter.
