Meghalaya: BSF organises medical camp along international border

The Frontier Headquarters of the Border Security Force (BSF), on January 24 organised a medical camp for the Border Area Population (BOP) of Dabram (South Garo Hills) and Dawki (West Jaintia Hills) districts.

K Sharma, Deputy Inspector General, Sector Tura inaugurated the free medical camp in the presence of ADC, South Garo Hills among others.

During the event, the villagers were provided medicines, hand sanitisers, disposable hand gloves, waste compost machine and other essential items.

Similarly, on 25 January, the BSF team organised a blood donation camp for BOP at Dawki.

The blood donation camp was conducted under the supervision of Dr Ashok Rai, DIG/Medical Composite Hospital in association with NEIGRIHMS, Shillong.

The BSF in its effort to serve the BOP have started many such camps across the state and also assured its commitment to serve the people with utmost dedication.
