The 75th Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) organised a free medical camp in the border village of Baburambil in West Garo Hills on Thursday.

The event was organised under the aegis of the Sector Head Quarter (SHQ), Tura, as part of its Civic Action Programme (CAP) which also falls under the BSF’s border management plan.

The free medical camp aimed to facilitate medical aid to people from the villages of Baburambil, Jatrakona, Dimapara, Chiringpara and Govindpara.

According to reports, over 350 people, including women, children, and the elderly, visited the camp.

Apart from medicine, hand sanitisers, masks, and gloves were distributed to the people free of cost.

The BSF has organised similar outreach programmes to help the bordering population in the district.
