Meghalaya: Ammunition Dump recovered in West Garo Hills

Meghalaya Police in its continuous effort to scout hidden cache of weapons in the jungles inside Durama range, unearthed concealed ammunition suspected to belong to the Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA) on December 11.

Based on credible information, Special Force 10 commandos from East Garo Hills conducted a search operation at Patalgre village in Durama.

The recovered items were five 7.65 mm automatic pistols, which were suspected to belong to the GNLA.

A case has been registered under Williamnagar police station for further verification.
