Load shedding timings changed in Meghalaya

SHILLONG:

The Meghalaya Power Department, on March 3, made a few changes to the timings with regard to the load shedding hours.

The Meghalaya Power Distribution Corporation Limited announced that it has changed the timings for load shedding from 12:00 to 6:00 am across all five districts of Garo Hills, including Shillong.

With the COVID-19 pandemic still looming around, residents of Shillong had complained that the earlier timings affected work, studies and internet access which has become a necessity in today’s world.

With the monsoon still months away, the new timings will hopefully give some respite to the citizens.
