NONGSTOIN:

A woman identified as Serilis Rongrin (25) of Umdang village in West Khasi Hills District, Meghalaya, was found dead at her residence on March 1.

Sources stated that they found the body on the bed.

Meanwhile, villagers and relatives suspected that she was murdered by her husband, Arius Nianglang.

However, no injury marks were found on the body.

Sources also revealed that Nianglang would frequently ill-treat his wife especially when he was under the influence of alcohol.

“After committing the crime, Nianglang broke the door and fled the scene,” stated a source.

An ongoing search is on to track down the suspect.
