Bisharlang Pyngrope appointed Meghalaya State Convenor of All India Education Forum

Bisharlang Pyngrope from Mawlyngad Village in Meghalaya's East Khasi Hills district was appointed the Meghalaya State Convenor of the All India Education Forum (AIEF) by the National Executive Council on November 22, 2020.

AIEF is an association of educationists across the country led by its chairman Dr Zavise Rume, a professor from Nagaland.

AIEF was formed to provide a common platform for educationists, to promote healthy interaction on education, to improve the quality in education, to extend consultancy service in policy decision making on education, to network with education-related organisations and to safeguard the interest of educationists in the country. 

Pyngrope is also the recipient of Bharat Shiksha Ratan Award 2014, the District Teacher’s Award 2015 from the Department of School Education, Government of Nagaland, Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award 2015, Best Indian Educationist Award 2016 and the State Level Teacher’s Award 2016 from the Department of School Education, Government of Nagaland.
