SHILLONG: In a much expected development, the cabinet reshuffle in the MUA-II government has finally taken place and the swearing-in of the new faces will be held tomorrow.
Though the major details of the reshuffle have been kept under wraps, names of some were divulged today.
Sitting Mawkyrwat legislator and Deputy Chief Minister Rowell Lyngdoh has been dropped from the Cabinet. Sources say that there will now be only one Deputy Chief Minister.
A L Hek who was looking after four portfolios has also been dropped. The new faces that have been included are Martin M Dango and Ronnie Lyngdoh.
The swearing-in ceremony of the new cabinet ministers will be held on August 26 at 11:30 am at Raj Bhavan.
