Meghalaya: Islamic State agents allegedly trespass intl border in SGH
SHILLONG: Security agencies in Meghalaya was thrown in a tizzy when Islamic State(IS) elements allegedly crossed over the international border in South Garo Hills district.
The Border Security Force (BSF) was quick in denying the report saying that it was the handiwork of some people using IT gadgets and the internet which later spread like wild.
According to the rumour, five of the seven criminal elements managed to cross over the border in the wee hours on Thursday.
On being queried, an irate Chief Minister reacted as to how such classified information was leaked to the media.
He was more agitated of the fact that once the CM confirms such a rumour, the anti national elements would also be privy to the information and would be better equipped with dealing with the situation.
