Meghalaya Assembly Polls: BJP to finalize poll candidates in the next few hours

 SHILLONG, February 1, 2018

The BJP is likely to finalize the names of the party's candidate for Meghalaya Assembly election Today.

The same was informed on Wednesday afternoon at a press meet held at the BJP unit office, Shillong. The BJP State president, Shibun Lyngdoh said that the names would be released most probably on Thursday night or Friday after the declaration of the Union Budget.

He said that he had sent the names of all the candidates from all the 60 constituencies to the central leadership. For finalization of names of poll candidates , Shibun Lyngdoh also flew to New Delhi. He also claimed that the party had received multiple applications of aspirants from every Assembly constituency in the state.

The meeting with the Centre will be held today as per the information by Shibun soon after which the BJP candidate list is expected to be declared.
