Meghalaya: 7-year-old twin minors raped by step father for months in East Garo Hills!

Tura, September 20, 2017: In another shocker, twin girls, aged about 7 years, were sexually assaulted by their step father in the village of Cheran Songgital in East Garo Hills (EGH).

The accused father, identified as Raj M Sangma, had according to police sources sexually assaulted the twins for quite a few months. He has however gone into hiding since yesterday mainly after family members of the victim decided to report the same to the police.

"We received a complaint from the family of the two victims this morning and the twins were rushed to the Williamnagar Civil Hospital for medical treatment and examination. The father has been absconding since yesterday and efforts to trace him is currently on," said acting SP of EGH, Ringrang TG Momin.
