The Federation of Haomee have called upon the attention of the BJP government to look into the matter of the two erstwhile government schools namely Tondonsana High School and Bengali High School that have been allegedly sold off by the then Congress government for Rs 1 for setting up of private schools.

A statement from the Federation of Haomee urged the BJP government to constitute a high-level committee to look into the said matter.

It also spoke about the contribution of the two schools by producing bright students for a long time.

The statement further alleged that some ministers may have earned a large sum of money by converting the two government schools to private schools for barely a rupee.

It further added that the government abolished the schools in the middle of the scholastic year and had arranged for the government school students to go to a school that is 3 km far away from its previous location.
