Police have arrested three individuals in connection to the Rs. 1.15 crore bank robbery that took place in Manipur's Churachandpur district on September 4, which also involved the killing of banker Arambam Ranjan.

"The three persons were arrested, because of financial irregularities found in their conduct, and it would be premature to say that they were involved in the banker's murder," a senior police official said.

They identified the arrested persons as V. Thankkhanmuan (40) of New Lamka in Churachandpur district, K. Somen Singh (36) of Khuga Tampak, Zoveng in Churachandpur district and Kongkham Brojen Singh (40) of Bamon Kampu in Imphal East.
