Manipur Police, Assam Rifles arrest PREPAK (PRO) cadre in Imphal

IMPHAL:
In a joint operation, troops of Assam Rifles and Manipur Police apprehended an insurgent of proscribed group PREPAK (PRO) from Keirao Bitra Awang Leikai area of Imphal East district on March 14.
The 38-year-old PREPAK (PRO) insurgent was identified as Laishram Hemanta Singh of Imphal East district.
The apprehended individual confessed to being an active member and recruiter of PREPAK (PRO) and his involvement in the recruitment of three individuals recently.
The apprehended insurgent was handed over to Irilbung Police Station for further investigation and legal action.
