Manipur: Kangla Palace closed to public due to COVID-19

Kangla Palace, which holds religious and historical significance for the people of Manipur, is closed to the public because of the prevailing COVID-19 situation in the state.

M. Joy Singh, member and secretary of the Kangla Board and Commissioner of Art and Culture, Government of Manipur, said the Kangla Board has been granting permission to enter Kangla for religious and ritualistic purposes by following COVID-19 guidelines.

It further stated that all those who wished to enter Kangla for religious and ritualistic purposes may seek permission from the concerned authority at least seven days in advance.
