Manipur: Huge cache of contraband drugs seized in two separate ops; 2 arrested

IMPHAL:

A team of Manipur commandos from CDO-BPR (Commando and Bishnupur) arrested a drug peddler from Keinou Thongkha in Bishnupur district on November 25.

According to sources, police also arrested Phundreimayum Amu (45) of Lilong Usoipokpi Tharaorok and seized 140 grams of Heroin from his possession.

The suspect and the seized items were handed over to Bishnupur Police Station for necessary legal action.

In another incident on November 25, a team of CDO-Unit, Bishnupur, arrested one drug peddler along the inter-village road of Maronglou Lamhang, Kwakta and seized 70,000 (seventy thousand) WY tablets from his possession.

The arrested Md. Nongyai Rafijuddin of Kwakta Ward was later handed over to Moirang Police Station.
