Manipur govt to build guesthouse to accommodate tribal chiefs on their visit to Imphal
IMPHAL | Sept 04, 2020:
The Manipur Government have decided to build a guest-house to accommodate the tribal chiefs and headmen when they visit Imphal.
The guest-house will be a four-storey guest house inside the premises of Sana Konung, the palace of the titular king of Manipur and now Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba. The guest house is to cost 7 crore rupees.
The Chief Minister of Manipur N. Biren Singh and Lok Sabha MP Dr RK Ranjan also visited the site where the proposed guest house is to be built.
Tribal chiefs and headmen have expressed appreciation about this new initiative, citing that they do face hardships for accommodation while visiting Imphal.
