The Government of Manipur, on Wednesday, relaxed the timings for night curfew in view of the upcoming Christmas and New Year celebrations.
In an order issued by Rajesh Kumar, chief secretary and chairman of the State Executive Committee, Manipur, gatherings of up to 50 per cent of hall capacities with a limit of 200 people in closed spaces and open spaces, would be permitted keeping in mind the total size of space along with strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols.
Night curfew would be from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am on all days except the intervening nights of December 23, 24, 25, and December 31 and January 1.
Curfew, on the mentioned dates, would be imposed from 12 midnight to 4:00 am.
"Community feasting should also be avoided," the order stated.
