Manipur Govt bans Thabal Chongba celebrations

The Manipur Government has banned the Thabal Chongba in Yoashang (Holi) celebrations this year in fear of the second COVID-19 wave.
According to an order issued by the Home Department on Thursday, the State Government has banned any activity involving person to person contact such as “Thabal Chongba” or “Jatrawali.”
The order also stated citizens may organise Yaoshang sports subject to observation of relevant SoPs.
