Manipur government celebrates 4 years of ‘citizen-centric governance'

The BJP led Manipur Government under the leadership of N Biren Singh celebrated the 4th anniversary of the “citizen-centric governance” on Monday at the City Convention centre in Imphal.

In attendance was the Chief Minister N. Biren Singh as the chief guest, Deputy Chief Minister Y Joykumar Singh as the presiding president and cabinet ministers, among others.

311 projects with a total cost of ₹ 1096.05 crore in twenty-eight departments was inaugurated and foundation stone for 39 projects with a total cost of ₹ 278.77 crore in eight departments was also laid.

CM Singh also inaugurated the Closed-circuit television (CCTV) surveillance system of Manipur Police.

Speaking at the event, CM Singh spoke about the various milestones and achievement ranging from “Go to Hills” and “Go to Village” initiatives and other developmental programmes undertaken by his government in the last four years.

“Today we celebrate 4 years of citizen centric governance in Manipur (15 March 2017- 15 March 2021). 4 years of unparalleled peace, progress and unity in the state,” CM Singh tweeted on his official Twitter handle.
