Manipur bank robbery case: Police announces Rs 1 lakh reward for information

Manipur's Director General of Police, LM Khaute had recently visited Churachandpur and held a meeting with the members of the Joint Action Committee (JAC) in connection with the recent incident of bank robbery leading to the killing of a banker.

A sum of rupees Rs 1 lakh has also been announced by the Churachandpur police, for any individual who would provide any information that may lead to the arrest of the culprits involved in the murder of the banker and the loot that took place in Churachandpur on September 4.

Chief Minister of Manipur, N. Biren Singh, in a press meet held on Sunday, condemned the killing of the banker and said that the DGP, Manipur will also speak to the underground groups in Churachandpur that are currently under the Suspension of Operation (SOP) for want of information about the culprits involved in the loot and killing of the banker.
