Late hospitalisation the primary cause for most casualties in Manipur

Chief Minister N. Biren Singh on December 1 reviewed the COVID-19 situation in the state of Manipur.
Manipur Health Services Director Dr K. Rajo Singh, who is heading the group of experts, conducted a survey and found that late hospitalisation to be the primary reason for most of the casualties.
According to their finding there is a need for creating awareness among the public to attend hospital as soon as a patient becomes symptomatic.
“The need for timely diagnosis and hospitalisation is an effective treatment to prevent casualties,” Chief Minister N Biren Singh said.
The Chief Minister directed the concerned officials to regularly monitor availability of oxygen in all the districts.
Deputy Chief Minister Y Joykumar, Chief Secretary Dr Rajesh Kumar, Principal Secretary (Health) V. Vumlunmang and other high-ranking officials attended the meeting.
