In line with slogan ‘Vocal for local’, Manipur CM inaugurates Mai-Own 2021

IMPHAL:

Chief Minister N. Biren Singh opened the Mai-Own 2021, an exclusive exhibition of local products of global standards at Hapta Kangjeibung in Imphal East district on Tuesday.

Different Government departments, Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and entrepreneurs will participate in the exhibition which will go on till March 22.

In his speech, the Chief Minister said that the exhibition is organised in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popular slogan, ‘Vocal for Local’ towards achieving Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India).

Chief Minister N. Biren Singh has also asked the concerned officials to have a detailed analysis on which Department is helping which type of SHGs and what products are being produced.

The Chief Minister also said that the Departments may also recommend names of performing SHGs/Groups/entrepreneurs to the Planning Department for assistance through the Manipur StartUp scheme.
