As part of the continued endeavour of the Assam Rifles towards improving healthcare in the wake of ongoing COVID pandemic, an awareness rally cum medical camp was organised at Sajik Tampak on 21 November.

The event was attended by a large number of villagers from neighbouring Sajik Tampak, Chahkap, Twilelon, Molphei, Haika and Paldai.

Assam Rifles troops conducted a lecture cum demonstration on the danger of COVID, the effect of the second wave and the recommended preventive measures.

The staff from the Primary Health Centre (PHC) and the Sajik COVID Task Force (SCTF) were also invited and felicitated with gifts during the event in recognition of their contribution to COVID prevention in Sajik Valley.

Keeping in mind the problems faced by the locals due to the remoteness of the villages and the difficult socio-economic conditions, the Assam Rifles troops concluded the event by organising a medical camp to cater for the basic medical requirement of the locals.
