The government has also decided to wave off the vendor license fees incurred upon the women vendors during the lockdown period to help them cope up with the business loss.

Notably, the Ima Market, run exclusively by women in Manipur, is the largest all-women’s market in Asia.

A strong 5000 women vendors run the market in the heart of Imphal city.
