Drug peddling in Manipur: Four held in two separate cases

IMPHAL:

Manipur police made inroads in two separate drug-related incidents.

On January 6, a team of CDO/Kakching arrested two drug peddlers from Chandel Lamkhai and seized 259 grams of brown sugar from their possession.

The arrested individuals namely Ng. Toroni and Shangshang Ngaruh along with the seized items were handed over to Kakching Police Station for further legal action.

In another incident, a police team from Lilong Police Station arrested two drug dealers on Thursday.

The police arrested Md. Firoz Khan and Md. Bharot aka Alam Azad and seized 15 soap containers filled with heroin and a Maruti A-Star car.

A case was filed under ND&PS Act for further investigation.
