Assam Rifles observes Army Day in Manipur

IMPHAL:

Troops of Assam Rifles organised a security coordination meet and interaction programme with ex-servicemen at Sagolmang in Manipur's Imphal East District as part of National Army Day celebrations on January 15.

The programme aimed to honour ex-servicemen and to update the locals on the security situation in the area bearing in mind the upcoming Republic Day celebrations on January 26.

The interaction is aimed to improve the synergy between the locals and Assam Rifles in maintaining peace and tranquillity in the region.

Meanwhile, the ex-servicemen lauded the efforts of the Assam Rifles and assured their commitment towards nation-building.
