Chief Minister Biren Singh on December 7 announced that 10 new women markets will soon be constructed in different hill and valley districts of Manipur.
The Chief Minister also disbursed loans to 3,362 vendors in a function organised by the Manipur Urban Development Agency (MUDA) at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.
Out of 3,362 loanees, 3015 have benefited under Pradhan Mantri Street Vendor’s Atma Nirbhar Nidhi (PM-SVANidhi) while the remaining have benefitted under MUDRA.
The State Cabinet would resolve to extend PM-SVANidhi and MUDRA schemes to hill districts in the Cabinet meeting scheduled to be held on December 9, Singh said.
