Respected Sir/Ma'am
Mizoram, Tripura, Nagaland and Meghalaya are heading into election mode and the recent results from Gujarat elections have just brought the limelight back to the Congress party. The major turnover from the election result is the neck to neck count from the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress. BJP may be losing its ground in Amit Shah territory and the return on the prodigal son's party in areas around Gujarat are some takeovers.
The saffron party has a lot of homework and ground realities to cover, opening new road projects to sanctioning crores of rupees on the state coffers would not bring justice to the democratic system of the country.
Analysing the political fulcrum, the chunk of the electorate in coming years would be young, bright minds who will question the lapses within the social fabric of the country. Congress rejuvenated its party veins by the induction of Rahul Gandhi as the new Congress leader but does he have the bandwidth to alter the scenario?Only time will tell.  The greater problem which lies with the Congress party is the neglect of leaders such as Jyotiraditya Scindia and Sachin Pilot who can navigate the party's trajectory but once again dynasty can be said to play spoilsport.
BJP is looking to expand its bastion to Northeast India and it would be interesting to watch if its 'Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas' works magic in the next few months.
Yours faithfully
CL Gatphoh
