AGARTALA: In a bid to resolve border problems, the Joint Boundary Working Group (JBWG) is going to convene a meeting at Dhaka for implementation of the Land Boundary Agreement (LBA). The meeting would be attended by Myanmar and North-East India's border officials.
The Revenue Secretary, Punit Aggarwal would represent Tripura in the meeting.
The Land Boundary Agreement (LBA) was passed in the last session of the Indian Parliament. As per the agreement, Muhuri of Belonia would go to Bangladesh and Chandannagar would come to India.
Discussion on border fencing and illegal border activities is also on the cards.
