IN PICS | Truck catches fire in Assam after coming in contact with high-voltage cable

One JCB excavator-carrying truck was gutted in a fire at 9 mile along Nillie-Ulukunchi road under Ulukunchi Police Out post in west Karbi Anglong on Tuesday morning around 9.45 am.
According to sources, the truck bearing registration AS-01-CC-0211 coming from Guwahati and on its way to Amri constituency for construction of PMGSY road caught by fire after accidentally touched a high voltage electric wire.
The truck was giving way for a bike when the incident happened. The driver was injured and referred to Guwahati for medical attention.
