Finance Commission to visit Assam to assess state of finances

The 15th Finance Commission is visiting Assam today to assess the state of the finances, its socio-economic challenges and understand the efforts of the state government to tackle them.
During the three-day visit, the Commission led by Chairman NK Singh will have meetings with Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Ministers and other officials of the state. Detailed presentations will be made on the finances of the state government.
