NORTHEAST | AUGUST 21, 2020:

Participants will have to play a four-minute drum solo video recording on the acoustic drum set.

The competition will be held in four categories;

Junior (Drum Set) – age 8 till age 12 (all age based on year of birthday in the year 2020)

Intermediate (Drum Set) – age 13 till age 18 (all age based on year of birthday in the year 2020),

Open – (Drum Set) age 19 and older (all age based on year of birthday in the year 2020)

The winner at the national level gets a chance to represent our country in the Global competition at DRUM-OFF GLOBAL against the rest of the world involving 197 countries.

"This is a very big honour and pride for the Drumming Community in India and a great chance to make themselves known at a Global Level. India has a lot of potential talent and we stand a very good chance to win this at the Global Level," says Nigel Collasco, the Official organizer of DRUM-OFF INDIA 2020.

While the Drum-Off Global Director, Tan Boon says: "This competition can only take you upwards in your quest for greatness, and with 100% assurance you will improve in your drumming skills as you are taking on the task of creating your very own drum-solo. No drummer can ever be ready for this, even the drumming greats would need to sit down and craft a solo that represents themselves and their desire to play a drum solo that speaks of 2 things: where they are currently at and where they hope to go higher in their 'language & vocabulary' of drumming.
Most drummers will probably say 'I am not good enough for this' …yes you are not good enough if you even refuse to try…but those that are willing to try, are surely good enough"

For DRUM-OFF INDIA, the participants will be judged by the Best drummers in India such as Jai Row Kavi, Lindsay D'Mello, Teji Toko, Joshua Vaz, Pawan Sharma, and Joshua Grant.

Registrations for the competition are already open at https://www.drumoffglobal.org/ and the last date for submission is 9th November 2020.

The country-level winners will receive a trophy and a certificate from DRUM-OFF INDIA.
