GUWAHATI:

Union minister for tribal affairs Arjun Munda ‘e-launched’ a new Tribes India outlet at the departure lounge of the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, in Guwahati on Tuesday.

“The 126th Tribes India showroom will help market tribal handicrafts and handlooms and Van Dhan naturals and immunity boosters,” Munda said.

“Inclusive development has been the primary aim of our government which will include the development of all sections, including tribal communities. I am happy to note that TRIFED under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs is doing exemplary work in focussing on improving the lives and livelihoods of the tribal communities,” he said.

As a part of its mission towards tribal empowerment, TRIFED has been exploring convergences and partnerships with like-minded organisations to create synergies together.

“TRIFED exchanged a MoU with Shreem Swarnam Divine Products Private Limited (DIVINITI), New Delhi recently to partner with each other to create an upmarket niche brand of products to be named as “TRIFED-DIVINITI - a premium range from the existing range of tribal products,” an official statement said.

The organisations will also collaborate with research on future product sourcing, development, packaging and marketing.

All TRIFED–DIVINITI products will be marketed in all Tribes India outlets, e-marketplaces, government and public sector undertakings.
