Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to visit Assam for two-day campaign in North Bank areas

GUWAHATI:

General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC), Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will visit the poll-bound state of Assam from March 1.

Sources informed that during her two-day visit, she will be travelling to several districts on the North Bank of the Brahmaputra river, where the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its ally, the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), have a strong presence.

On Monday, Vadra will visit the Kamakhya temple to offer prayers on behalf of the party and, will head over to Lakhimpur to start the poll campaign.

She will then address a public rally at Hazarpar Stadium in Tezpur on Tuesday.

She will also interact with female tea workers in Sadhary Tea Estate in Biswanath.

This will be her first-ever assembly poll campaign in Assam.
