Girl from Assam compensated with Rs 1 lakh after a police complaint

GUWAHATI:

A girl from Assam, who had lost all her belongings from a PG in Delhi was offered a compensation of Rs 1 lakh on January 12.

The girl had complained to the Special Police Unit for North East Region (SPUNER) after she had lost all her belongings from the PG in Kamla Nagar area of Delhi.

The PG owner had initially refrained from offering any kind of compensation.

However, after the SPUNER team intervened into the matter, the PG owner agreed for the compensation.

The girl had come home during the lockdown and had left all her belongings in the PG.
