Congress leaders Rahul, Priyanka Gandhi to visit poll-bound Assam

GUWAHATI:

Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will undertake a two-day visit to poll-bound Assam to campaign for the party ahead of assembly elections that will be held in three phases starting from March 27.

Rahul will visit Assam on March 19 and 20.

He will interact with college students at Lahoal, Dibrugarh and is scheduled to address a tea estate workers rally at Dinjoy, Panitola block as well as a public meeting in Doom Dooma, Tinsukia.

On March 20, Rahul will address a rally in eastern Assam.

Meanwhile, Priyanka will visit Assam on March 21 and 22, where she will probably hold six rallies in Jorhat, Golaghat, Nagaon districts of Assam.

It will be their second visit to the state ahead of the polls.
