BCPL organises Cyclothon to create awareness on Oil & Gas conservation in Assam

Brahmaputra Cracker Polymer Limited (BCPL) organised a Cycle Rally (Cyclothon) at Dibrugarh in Assam on February 7 as a part of “SAKSHAM 2021” in association with Dibrugarh Cycling Club and Sivasagar Cycling Community (Senergy), to create public awareness on Oil & Gas conservation, protection of the environment and physical fitness.

BCPL has been celebrating the “Sanrakshan Kshamta Mahotsav SAKSHAM-2021” from January 16 to February 15, in line with the guidelines of Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA), under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India.

Over 350 cyclists took part in the event, including a few national-level cyclists from the North-East. The 25 km long Cyclothon started from Chowkidingee field, Dibrugarh and ended at BCPL Township, Barbaruah.

Asit Das, General Manager (HR) spoke about the judicious use and conservation of petroleum products and also about the health benefits of cycling.

They also distributed certificates to all the participants of Cyclothon.
