GUWAHATI:

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited poll-bound Assam to address three public rallies at Udharbond, Silchar, and Borkhola assembly constituencies on Tuesday.

Praising Assam Chief Miniter Sarnbananda Sonowal's leadership, Yogi Adityanath said that only the BJP could protect the 'Asmita (pride) of Assam'.

He also claimed that only the BJP could help protect the cultures of the tea tribes and the rich heritage of the Kamakhya temple.

Taking a dig at the Congress, he said that the party thrives on "divide and rule" policy.

"BJP believes in Sabka sath, Sabka vikas," he added.

While assuring to protect the animals' right, Adityanath held the Congress party responsible for "illegal Rhino poaching".

The UP CM said that the BJP's agenda for the upcoming Assam Assembly elections would focus on infrastructure, connectivity, health and women empowerment.
