Assam Police arrests drug peddlers in Lakhtokia area

GUWAHATI:

A team from Panbazar police recovered about 23 grams of suspected Brown Sugar, ten mobile handsets, Rs. 5,000, 28 liquid whiteners and chemical fluid following a three-hour drive against drug peddling in the Lakhtokia area on Saturday afternoon.

“We recovered the items from the possession of Monirom Nessa, Jahura Khatoon, Sahera Khatoon and Suraj Guwala, who all hail from Tinsukia. We apprehended all of them, and initiated necessary procedures according to the law,” a statement said.
