Assam: 21-yr-old man arrested for killing his wife in Karbi Anglong

DIPHU:

A newly wedded wife was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Baliram Terang village under Karbi Anglong on January 17.

The incident came to light when the body of the deceased went viral on social media and people circulated it widely to get the attention of the police.

After knowing about the tragic incident, the police visited the family and stopped the cremation process to investigate the matter.

Following this, the police took over the body and also informed the Magistrate for a detailed enquiry on the matter.

The deceased has been identified as Rodali Beypi (18) who was recently married to Rocky Tisso (21).

Talking to reporters, the deceased father informed his daughter was staying at the residence of Rongphar’s house in Diphu to pursue her studies. It was during the same time she had met Rocky and eloped with him and subsequently; the tragedy happened.
