Assam: Stage set for phase 3 Lok Sabha polls in Dhubri, Kokrajhar, Barpeta, and Gauhati

The stage is all set for phase 3 Lok Sabha polls that will take place on April 23 in Assam along with the other states of India. In Assam, four constituencies will go to polls- Dhubri, Kokrajhar, Barpeta, and Gauhati.

In phase III of the Lok Sabha elections, the voting process will commence at 7 AM and will end at 5 PM.
It is to be mentioned that as many as 115 Lok Sabha constituencies will go to polls on Tuesday, 23 April, across 14 states and union territories in phase III of the 2019 general election.

Approximately 20,000 central armed police personnel have been deployed in all the 9,577 polling stations across the four constituencies going to polls tomorrow, April 23.
Gauhati constituency which has the largest electorate among the 14 constituencies will have the maximum deployment of personnel.
Former Prime minister Manmohan Singh will be in the city along with his wife Gursharan Kaur to cast their votes at the Dispur Government Higher Secondary School polling station.
