GUWAHATI | May 20, 2019:

Re-known singer from Assam, Zubeen Garg wrote an open letter addressing it to ULFA in a social media post.

Zubeen took to his social media platform Facebook to express his two-cents regarding the recent Guwahati blast. He wrote: "I need a revolution. I need a revolution of change. Killing innocent people will not result in anything fruitful. Fear cannot build a nation. Labour can. Hard work can."

He further implored the militants to do something productive for posterity and the upcoming generations. "Teach our kids how to cultivate. Teach them how to grow seeds out of nothing. Teach them how to shape their dreams. If you want to build something, build Majuli! If you want to destroy something, destroy the threats roaming over Kaziranga!", he stated.

Stating that freedom is all about standing on your own and one cannot be free in fear, Zubeen further cautioned the ULFA that chaos can bring no change.

"We are a nation because of the people. If there is no one left alive, where do we stand?", he queried.

He stated that terrorism can provide no solutions, but 'Education can. Development can. Progress can.'

"Let our kids grow in peace, let us live. There is no justice after death", he implored the ULFA.

The Guwahati Blast took place on May 15 which was allegedly hurled by an ULFA (I) cadre during peak traffic-hours in the evening. As many twelve persons, including two SSB jawans, were injured in the blast.

The Assam police recently arrested five persons for their involvement in the grenade blast on Thursday.
