GUWAHATI: Ruins belonging to the seventh century were found in Golaghat district in Upper Assam recently by a team of archaeologists.

During excavation, they found a wide range of items including weapons, tools and even a rectangular structure resembling a house with plinth, according to officials of the Directorate of the Archaeology of Assam.
