Assam: NRC officials may be exempted from election duty during LS polls

In view of the fast approaching Lok Sabha Assembly Elections, the Assam state election commission, in order to ensure a hassle free NRC process has asked all state departments to consider exempting NRC officials from election duty .

The dates for the Lok Sabha Elections is set to be announced anytime soon within this month as per an EC notification.
